We bought this for our daughter's room, but I have found it useful in several other places around the house. We use it on her bedroom window to keep the wind from rattling the windows when the wind blows. We have also used it on other windows to keep them from making noise when it is breezy outside. We have used it to block out cold air in the winter when the wind was blowing. It has worked great for all of these purposes. The one thing I would note is that there are two sizes, so make sure you are ordering the right size for your window. If you get the wrong size, it will not fit well and will not work well.
