It's a lot easier to use than I thought it would be. The spring mechanism inside the tube keeps the wire tangle-free. When I need to use it, I simply squeeze the sides of the tube together and then release it. The spring helps push the prongs out of the way, allowing me to separate the cord. Once I've done that, I can easily wrap up my cord and put it away. This is a great product for anyone who has ever dealt with a tangled phone cord.
